Little Sunshine ELC & Kindergarten is a new and beautifully built 76 place Centre located in the Preston Junction close to transportation. The historical building was once a Leather Workshop which has been transformed into a unique and innovative learning space for the local community.
We will offer high quality education and care for children six weeks to school age.

What We Offer

At Little Sunshine ELC & Kindergarten in Preston, we blend quality early education with exceptional care, ensuring your child flourishes both academically and personally. Our educators conduct regular term interviews to discuss each child’s developmental progress and set personalised goals. Through detailed learning stories and continuous observations, we celebrate your child’s achievements and plan for their future needs.
We provide a nurturing environment where all essentials are catered for, from nappies and wipes to SPF 50+ sunscreen and nutritious meals prepared daily. Our centres are equipped with comfortable cots and beds, ensuring restful breaks that support active learning, and we even supply baby formula to support the littlest ones in our care.

Joeys (0-12 months)
In our Joeys room, we create a secure and nurturing environment where experienced educators support infants' early communication and development through sensory experiences and music.

Echidnas (12-24 months)
The Echidnas room focuses on nurturing emerging independence and social interactions among younger toddlers through creative play, block building, and pretend activities.

Bilbies (24 – 36 months)
Our Bilbies room engages 'Explorers' and 'Adventurers' with play-based learning that fosters cognitive and physical growth through sensory play, imaginative activities, and outdoor exploration.

Wallabies (3-5 Years old)
The Wallabies room offers an enquiry-based curriculum led by Qualified Early Childhood Teachers, promoting active learning and collaboration with families to achieve developmental milestones.
Our Location
From the Melbourne CBD:
By Car: Take the M3 from the city center heading northeast. Continue on the M3, then take Exit 8 to merge onto Bell Street/Preston. Follow Bell Street then turn left onto High Street. Little Sunshine ELC & Kindergarten will be on your right.
Public Transport: Catch a train on the South Morang line from Flinders Street Station to Preston Station. From Preston Station, it's a short 10-minute walk north along High Street to reach us.
From Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine):
By Car: Take the M2 freeway and exit onto the M80 towards the Greensborough. Merge onto Bell Street/Preston by taking the Bell Street exit from the M80 Ring Road. Continue on Bell Street then turn right onto High Street. Our centre is located about 5 minutes down the road on your right.
Public Transport: Use the SkyBus to Southern Cross Station, then transfer to the South Morang train line, disembarking at Preston Station. The centre is a short walk from there.
Northland Shopping Centre:
Drive south on Murray Road, turn left on High Street and continue straight; we are located on the left side of the street before you reach Bell Street.
Parking Options:
Option 1: Our primary entrance is located at Unit 1, 60 High Street. Visitors may briefly park along the street for drop-off and pick-up purposes.
Option 2: Our designated parking area is situated at 59 Plenty Road, marked with visible signage guiding you to our centre. Upon arrival, please input the provided code for access to the building. Once inside, you may conveniently utilize the lift to reach the program area.
